The multi talented singer-songwriter and Willy Mason collaborator NINA VIOLET played a House Concert here on Wednesday 30th January. She was joined by Willy Mason's brother Sam, Matthew Cullen, and Colin Ruel - yes drums for the first time at a house gig ! They played lived on BBC Radio the previous Thursday.
They played with Willy Mason on his last tour of bigger venues, the Cockpit in Leeds &c.
So hints of Alison Krauss, Gillian Welch, Lucinda Williams - plus the outrageously engaging Sam Mason - and one great night it sure was !
Their new band is called Chorus of Arrows -
and each cd comes in an individually hand decorated envelope.
