Following the release of his debut album and live DVD ‘Many Fish to Fry’ in 2011, Jake has gigged relentlessly in the UK, Canada & France. In 2012 he sold out London’s Bush Hall & Jazz Café as part of HMV Next Big Thing. Along the way Jake has supported artists such as Ed Sheeran, The Hoosiers, Scroobius Pip, two nights at the Hammersmith Apollo supporting Joe Bonamassa, set up his own label & secured independent funding from music industry investors.
National UK radio support has come from Dermot O’Leary, Jo Whiley, Janice Long, Alex Lester, Vanessa Feltz, Tom Robinson and Chris Hawkins, and over 40 regional radio stations.
At the end of 2013 Jake returned to the studio with Grammy nominated producer Calum MacColl to begin work on his second album. The first single ‘Ghostess’ will be out in early spring 2014 with full album following later in the year.
Antonio Lulic: Raised in the North East of England, son to a Chilean exile and a lass from the pit village of Trimdon, Antonio Lulic is a folk-rock singer-songwriter whose deep and gravelly vocal combines with a powerful yet intimate lyrical style to deliver passionate and uniquely soulful music.
It’s perhaps because of this humble beginning that Antonio is no stranger to hard work. Since the release of his debut EP, ‘Becomes Unstoppable‘, at the start of 2010, Antonio has toured relentlessly; performing for audiences all over London, up and down the UK, across Europe and all over the USA, building a loyal fanbase spread across the globe.
While on tour at the end of 2011 with international number one artist Ed Sheeran, Antonio released his acoustic EP ‘Rough‘. Then after spending November touring the UK and France with fellow London singer-songwriters Ryan Keen and Kal Lavelle, Antonio took off back to the USA in the spring of 2012, to perform on a showcase stage at the SXSW Music festival in Austin, Texas for the third year in a row; a performance that music blog Twangville called ‘Captivating’.
His first full-length album had been unleashed at the start of 2011 to an enraptured audience in London. ‘Never or Tonight‘ combines influences from the likes of Ani DiFranco, Mumford & Sons and, most reportedly, Bruce Springsteen, into a collection of songs that move effortlessly between a deeply personal and truly epic scale.
Now back in London, and following highly successful UK tour and a tour of Australia with Sydney natives Nova’s Basement, Antonio is working with his new band on material for his next EPs, so there’s a lot more to come from this young lad from Sunderland.
